Next, with a fork, food processor, or pastry blender cut the butter into the flour-sugar mixture until resembles crumb-like mixture.
Stir in nuts if desired
Sprinkle crumb mixture on top of apple filling.
Bake 45 min. to an hour until bubbly and brown.
Serve with vanilla ice cream and caramel drizzle.
FREEZER Note: Once bars are prepared wrap really good in foil and place in freezer. Once ready to cook, loosely leave foil over top and place the frozen pie into a 424-degree oven for about 15-20 min and then reduce the heat to 375, remove foil, and cook for another 45 min to 1 hour.
