Brown you beef or use your pre-cooked from freezer
Saute your onions and mushrooms in butter just until soft ( remember we are popping this in the oven for a bit so we don't want to be mush)
Season mixture with basil and seasonings
Spread mixture in to a pan
Top with Spaghetti sauce (you are gonna want your sauce to be thick since you are going to get quite a bit of moisture from your mushrooms while cooking)
Top with cheese
Bake uncovered at 375 degrees for about 10-15 minutes or until nice and melty :)
Enjoy over pasta if you must but it is delicious by itself in a bowl.
