2 # ground pork or breakfast sausage (if you are using ground pork add in a ½-1 t. sage, cumin, coriander)
5 T garlic, minced
2 T. ground ginger (fresh or dried)
1 bag of coleslaw mixture or about ½ to ¾ head of cabbage chopped, depending on how much cabbage to meat ratio you like
2 T. sesame oil
2 T. soy sauce/ coconut aminos
Green Onions, optional for garnish
cashews, optional
Chow Mein/Ramen noodles, optional
Wonton strips, optional
Instructions
brown meat and in spices if necessary (if using instant pot use your saute function)
add in garlic and ginger
add in cabbage mixture and stir all together. If doing on the stove-top just keep cooking and stirring until cabbage is to your liking of softness. If doing instant pot, go ahead and lock in the lid and make sure the vent is closed and hit manual for about 5-10 minutes depending on how soft you want your cabbage. After time is up do a quick release and open lid.
Next, go ahead and stir in your sesame oil and soy sauce.
This is where you can add in your raw uncooked cabbage if you would like more substance.
Lastly, top with cashews or won-ton strips and Enjoy
