Simple Spaghetti Pie
 
 
This is a great dish to surprise guests with a unique take on the very traditional dish, spaghetti. This dish also freezes really well before baking so make 2!

Ingredients
  • 16 oz. spaghetti, zoodles, or spaghetti squash
  • 2 eggs
  • ⅓ c. Parmesan Cheese
  • 5 T. butter
  • ⅓ c. chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 t. Italian Seasoning
  • 1 c. sour cream or small curd cottage cheese
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 lb. sausage/ground beef/pork
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce/ Tandy's Quick Versatile Tomato Sauce (about 24 oz.)
  • 3 c. Mozzarella Cheese
Instructions
  1. Cook spaghetti according to package directions. If using spaghetti squash, pierce several holes to the center of the squash and then microwave for about 10 min. Rotating the squash halfway.
  2. Brown meat and drain.
  3. Mix in a bowl and add butter, garlic, and onion and microwave until melted.
  4. Add in dairy products and Italian Seasoning.
  5. Once pasta is done, drain water
  6. Into pasta (while pasta is still warm) add in the eggs and parmesan and mix well.
  7. Spray a large pie pan with Pam cooking spray
  8. Pat noodle mixture and around sides with a spoon, making the "crust"
  9. Add in your cream mixture.
  10. Then layer with your meat sauce
  11. Place into a 350 degree preheated oven and bake for about 40 minutes
  12. Remove from oven and put Mozzarella cheese on top and return to oven until melted.
