Hi there, I’m Tandy!
I am a wife, hobby food blogger, full time j.o.b., and busy mom of 3 children(ages 4,7,8). Very chaotic at times at our house, but I love every minute of it.
After High School I decided to pursue a dream of many….to become a chef! I made the choice to go to Le Cordon Bleu of Culinary Arts Miami. Since as long as I can remember I was always skimming cookbooks, magazines, and experimenting with recipes. School put the icing on the cake and confirmed my love for food and cooking. After I finished my 12 month schooling in Miami, and 3 month externship in Boulder Colorado, I decided to move back to my hometown where I grew up-Iowa! Back in Iowa, I married my high school sweetheart and ran the family restaurant, catered, and offered fresh home cooked freezer meals to busy families.
After we started our family, the hours where just way too much for this mom! I found spending more time at work then with my kids was not a good fit for me. I gave it all up and went to working part time for my dad on the farm.
Since then, I put my passion for food on the back burner while my husband and I grew our family of 5. Since my youngest is out of diapers and finally started sleeping through the night, I decided instead of dreaming and waiting for the right moment to get back into my love for food, to JUST DO IT-so I started my very own blog in Spring of 2015!
